Let's Talk; What is the inspiration?

My name is Karol and I'm a modern languages graduate from Queen Mary University. I studied Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese. I have continued this ardour for languages through teaching at KS3, KS4 and KS5. I am the founder and creator of "Nossa Chamada" previously "Let's Talk".

In a world where there is so much conflict, communication shouldn't be one of the sources of it. Nossa Chamada was created as a safe space where important and interesting conversations are started or continued. The intent is not to always be right but to truly try to let go of biases and understand differing topics, opinions and sometimes facts or cultures.

I've come to love writing as it is a way for me to think my emotions through instead of immediately expressing them. I am constantly going through new phases of life, as we all are and literature whether journalistic or creative has always been an important outlet. Eventually a small blog like this will become history and I hope that someone is able to get something out of it all.  Even if it is a little giggle or a just a sense of validation. 
 

The idea for a space like this has been sitting in the archives of my mind for years now. From the initial idea to the pause for the rebrand. I'm elated to be able to bring it to life again!
